Award to be Presented at Gala on Feb. 5, 2025 at The Breakers in Palm Beach
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEPalm Beach, FL – RealClear Media Fund, working with RealClearPolitics, is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2025 Samizdat Prize. This annual award honors courageous journalists and public figures who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to truth and free speech, even in the face of censorship and adversity.
The 2025 Samizdat Prize winners are:
- Linda Yaccarino on behalf of X Corp. Since Linda became CEO of X, the platform has emerged as the Global Town Square: The only place for uncensored news and public dialogue in real-time. X plays a critical and consequential role in every major discussion in the collective consciousness – from sports and entertainment to news and politics. Linda, a seasoned leader and media veteran, is executing the vision for X as it evolves into the Everything App.
- Abigail Shrier, Manhattan Institute senior fellow and author of Irreversible Damage, was among the first to raise questions about transgenderism and children. Her critics called her “transphobic,” which isn’t true, and tried to ban her book. Those critics, which included the ACLU (!), used that accusation to shut off debate. But whether or not one agrees with Shrier, we all ought to be able to agree that open discussion of public policy is every American’s birthright.
- Jonathan Turley, George Washington University Law Professor and Fox News legal analyst, he is America’s Lawyer and an indefatigable champion of the First Amendment, a one-man ACLU.
The 2025 Samizdat Prize Gala will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at The Breakers in Palm Beach.
“This year’s Samizdat Prize winners represent the best of what free speech champions can achieve when they stand firm against the forces of censorship,” said David DesRosiers, president of RealClear Media Fund. “We’re especially excited to bring Dave Rubin back to the stage this year to lead an engaging discussion with these champions of free speech.”
